I'm looking to buy a boat, and there is one in Glendale. I would like to put a deposit on the boat but I kinda want someone to go take a peak at it and everything. Just kinda scary to send a chunk of money to someone you have never met in your life and hope the tranaction goes good. Me and my girlfriend plan on going down to vegas in mid July and I figure we could just cruise down there and pick it up.

Let me know if anyone can help me out :)

I'm not exatly close to Glendale, but I might be able to help you. I don't know ---- about boats though. I'm not the dumbest guy in the world so if it has a gigantic hole in the side, I might tell you it needs a touch of Bondo. :P

If I were to do it, it couldn't be this weekend, but maybe the next if that would help you? I have a wedding to attend this weekend(hell no it's not mine). :P

Fiberglass Doc, not bondo. If the whole is THAT big then I wouldn't even touch the fucker.

I have worked at a marina before; mostly outboard boats, touched a couple outboard/inboard. My best advice to you jeff, don't buy the damn thing. Boats are a big money hole, granted you can work on it yourself.. they are just pretty stupid to own one.. go out on a friend's boat.. not your own.

^^^^haha, that's funny you said that. My roommate bought a boat and the second time he took it out the motor blew. After that every little thing that could go wrong went wrong. We have only had one stress free trip out on the lake so far. :(

I think I gave Jeff the water toy bug by talking about my super fast js300 jet ski. :o BTW, that fucker is blown and I'm parting it out on Egay as soon as I get the pics uploaded onto my computer. I hate jet-skis. >:(

When will you be in Vegas? Is it a private trip where you just want to ---- the girl friend in a fancy room or do you want to get shitfaced and 86ed from random casinos? Either way, I'm down. ;D

Now Jetskis are fun, but they require as much maintenance as a poulan chainsaw (I'm sure many of the fellow HMT lumberjacks will get that one). I would much rather own a jetski for my choice of personal watercraft.. maybe a john boat with trolling motor for some nice intercoastal fishing.

Then again, I sunburn too easily and there are no bodies of water where I'm located so ---- boats. I think I need to invest in a pimp 4 wheeler instead.

I have been around boats all my life, my dad always had one and always let me and my friends take it out when we were younger, after I graduated he sold the boat and I was stuck using my friends boat (really nice one) now that me and that guy are no longer friends I'd like to get my own boat. No just "regular boat" I'd like to get a tournment style ski boat with direct drive/Inboard engine. Watersports is by far my favorite thing to do, in fact this whole "boat deal" is putting my car on the back burner for a long time. I really have no desire to finish it right now, I'd rather enjoy the summer on a nice boat.

Btw, I think SolFastD16 is getting me some pics, the boat is pretty old but they are just really rare and of course I am cheap so I will travel to get a decent deal if I have to.

I'll be in Vegas for the NHRA Sport Compact Series #2 July 16-17 with the GF and visiting my dad.

My roommates boat is a 1969 Shoester(SP) V bottom with a recently rebuilt( ::) ) 455 olds. That motor is such a pile of ----. It sure does have torque though. :-\

ehh.. well see, I just wanna have a nice crusing boat, nothing fast just something I can go out on the lake and relax on, but perform when I need it to. (damn I'm getting old)

Theres this boat that is local to me on this used car lot that I offered 5500 today on, the guy pretty much told me to get lost, god I was pissed >:(

you will love having your own boat. my dad has a 95' stratos fish/ski with a 150 horse v6 fast strike engine. its awesome congrats if u get it! =)

Not all boats are fiberglass and they do make fiberglass bondo......smartass. :P

A guy I work with has a 1958 Campbell flatbottom jet boat. It's 100% wood and in like perfect condition. He hasn't driven it in like 20 years. ::)
