hey guys i know i'm new here and i shouldn't be asking for any favors yet, but i bought a 14b off this guy and after a week of him not replying to my emails asking if they gave him a tracking number i found his myspace acct.
so i email him on myspace so i can see if he reads it or not.
he replied back on day 7 telling me he has not sent it out yet. i asked him if he could just put the money back in paypal and he said yeah, but he has to wait for it to clear his bank. now 6 days later i sent him another email through myspace and told him to either send me the turbo by saturday (tomorrow) or put the money back in my paypal. he is on myspace right now not reading my email.
i paid $135 for a fresh rebuilt 14b and this fucker is not replying to me

This should be stickied somewhere.

Call your credit card company. Tell them you ordered a part online and the person has no intention in sending you the item. They will then file a dispute where paypal will most likely contact his credit card company and they will transfer your funds to you and he will be stuck with the loss and a charge back fee. Credit card companies generally get your money back. Paypal generally won't do anything unless you get the actual CC involved.

INQUISITION:
i have filed a dispute through paypal and sent him another email.
i used my debit card through paypal can i still get my money back through them?
i've done this with a visa before but not a mastercard debit card

Your debt card has a Visa/Mastercard logo right? You don't punch in your pin number when you order? If so, then you are using a credit card not a debit card and you get backed by Visa/Mastercard.

One thing to watch out is if you have your paypal account tied to your checking account, you may be paying with your checking account rather than your credit card. Make sure you pay everything with your credit card that way you have extra insurance.

Forget paypal, call your CC company and file a chargeback. You'll have your money back in a couple of days most likely.

You have to put effort forth to have paypal tie to your bank account. You need to fill in your bank account number, routing number, and a few other things and then they need to confirm all of this. If you didn't do this, then you paid by credit card and don't have anything to worry about.

Just call the number on the back of your credit card. That is what your bank is going to tell you to do. If you want the turbo, tell him what you are going to do. Say you want to see a tracking number from UPS or FedEx by tomorrow 3PM or you are going to contact your CC. If he doesn't ship it, a charge back is going to cost him something like $30. It's similar to bouncing a check. It would be in his best interest to sell you the turbo. The funny thing is, most likely the turbo is in shitty condition and going to fail in less than a thousand miles so I'd try to get my money back. Sketchy dudes sell sketchy parts.

yeah i really don't want the turbo now. i found a better one locally, but can't afford to spend the money till i get this money back

i told him to fedex the money to me and take a picture of the tracking number and also the bank check
i told him to make sure it's here by monday.
if i don't get an email from him tomorrow night i'm gonna call the cc company

I'm a mod on DSMsource. I'll look up his username, get his details, and see what I can get working for you. His name is familiar; I think he may have been banned on Source as well for trying to scam people. Try to get your money back man at this point. Because $135 for a rebuilt 14b is gonna be a shitty turbo. I'd pay that much for a flawless 14b with zero cracking that hadn't been molested by some kid with a $35 Ebay rebuild kit. Though. They're almost impossible to find low mileage unmolested, but they're still a fun turbo for a D-series.

There are deals to be found if you can't find them, its your problem. If you think you have to spend a lot of money to get good ----, your on the wrong forum, well maybe not anymore.

Good to know you got your money back. I have ran into my fair share of people not sending parts and what not. Paypal has always been good to get my money back.

paypal is the worst company ever. they don't care about anything except for their 3%

Thats crazy bro. I have had many paypal disputes and won. However, all this was buying off of ebay so not sure if that helps or not.
