anyone heard of these guys? comments appreciated

www.blaastperformance.com saw on egay
www.turbocalculator.com saw on egay
www.cheapturbos.com saw someone here mention before

i really don't know much about where to pick up a turbo online aside from fs forums. are these egay guys selling crap or are these descent deals? most of the turbos are rebuilds i'm assuming. any input on wether or not to stay away from this? i have a te04h, but i don't think it is going to cut it for what my goals are.

thanks. :)

i bought from ssautochrome.com once, and they were awesome. there manifolds were ------- sweet. equal length, they were all shiney, and the down pipe was shiney to.

Re:anyone heard of these guys? comments appreciated

oooh, doesn't shiny add like 10hp?

whitey, i'm looking at getting this from blaast performance:

Brand: Turbonetics / Garrett
Model: T3/T04E (.48/.70)
Size: T3/T4
Compressor A/R: 0.70
Compressor trim: "57"
Turbine A/R: 0.48
Turbine trim: standard
Flange type: T3
water cooling: Optional (i would require)

my goal is close to 300hp on my b17a1.

thanks for the input guys, keep the comments coming.

b17a? get the 63/70

Reddy 12-09-2004 08:54 PM

Re:anyone heard of these guys? comments appreciated

T3/T04E (.48/.70) Is this right?? On a B-series I would never go smaller than a T3/T4 .60compressor /.63 turbine.

How much money are you looking to spend?

Re:anyone heard of these guys? comments appreciated

hotrex, that makes sense now that i have looked at the site again. here it is:

Brand: Turbonetics / Garrett
Model: T3/T04E (.63/.70)
Size: T3/T4
Compressor A/R: 0.70
Compressor trim: 57
Turbine A/R: 0.63
Turbine trim: standard
Flange type: standard T3
water cooling: Optional
Internally wastegatable: YES

i'd like to keep it under 5 bills if possible. if blaast is in canada that would save me on customs too.

cause my t3/t4 spooled kinda late....d series doesnt need a 63 exhaust housing dude, you mess with gay size turbos,

Re:anyone heard of these guys? comments appreciated

from what i hear turbocalculator is good. The only down side to them is rumored that if you try to order a less common turbo, it takes them a while to get it all rebuilt and shipped to you.

i emailed him once and he said he has more of the commonly demanded turbos like T3's in stock and ready to ship.

Is that why you had to sell your old one fro a bigger one? ::)

Who ------- cares if you can't build 5psi in neutral. Top end is where it's at. ---- the bottom end. I don't drive cars in the bottom end.

Re:anyone heard of these guys? comments appreciated

^^^ All that SC61 is going to do is paint pretty curves on the dynograph. Wait till the DezeNutzZ6 is completed and the ownage will begin ;)
