id buy none of them....

lsd motorsports ftw. much cheaper and an even better warranty. plan to get a nice 6 puck from him soon.

Re: anyone heard of or run a XTD or F1 Racing clutch?

I had an XTD in my CRX. 6 puck. engagemnet wasn't that bad. Seemed to slip a bit at first. I have a stage II XTD in my 4 door with the turbo. It really doesnt put down any power but engagement is great and it doesnt slip at all.

I also had a 6 puck from Mike at LSD. It never ever slipped even when punished but would almost remove your teeth when engaged. I would buy another one.

+1 For the XTD.

I've been running it for about eight months in my Civic. Its a nice clutch but i think they need to give you something other that a stock pressure plate. Works good except when i try to do a burnout. Tends to slip a little then. But for the price you can't beat it.

I've used both xtd and act, both stood up to my standards for the setups they are in, but for our
Father and Son build we are using competition clutch stg 4, better holding power for the horse power :y

Re: anyone heard of or run a XTD or F1 Racing clutch?

i've already checked out mike's clutches and the pricing is cheaper on ebay. :-\

i've run act before with my b-series and d-series in the past with no issues... just curious about the xtd and f1.

Ive got an xtd stage 3 supposed to be able to hold 300lbs of torque my accords putting down around 250hp and it does great. I don't know if I'd recomend one though the first one I got came apart on me. I got the one I'm running now in trade for some tuning. so their it and miss.

Standard stock D on 10lbs and I had/have the XTD 6-puck with no complaints. Don't grease the input shaft on the tranny too much....good way to ruin a clutch kit. Just a tip, that I DIDN'T know at the time, haha.

Yeah see the I'm running that one to and it's fine on 11psi. the old one I bought lasted 6 months 3 months na and 3 on only about 5psi...I think I just got a bad one. that time

Re: anyone heard of or run a XTD or F1 Racing clutch?

I ran the xtd six puck on a stock ls on 10psi. It was a good street clutch. The friction material if much different from mike/lsd or act six pucks. the xtd is softer when it grabs. I would go with lsd or act if your serious about this build. If its just a low boost street car go for the xtd its cheap and smooth.

I recently bought a 285tq 6-puck sprung lsd clutch and haven't installed it yet, so can't say either way.

I do feel more secure in LSD's customer service than a ebay seller though and haven't heard anything bad about the LSD clutches, they don't cost much more.

keep in mind this is going into an s2k, not a civic, so the price difference is around $150-$200.

Correct. To steal from Stevemode, in the price vs ----- market LSD clutches rule.

I had a XTD sprung 6 puck and LSD lightened flywheel in my 300zxtt. It was pretty good. Grabbed hard and didnt slip. I've ran TWO act clutches, and both have shitted on me within 5-6k. And I double clutch downshift, dont compression brake, and dont sit on the clutch at stop lights.

Re: anyone heard of or run a XTD or F1 Racing clutch?

I had a sprung 6 puck XTD on my old AE86 and it was really nice at first but after a dozen clutch kicks it would slip and wouldn't chirp going into third. Don't go with a XTD Aaron. Yeah it's cheap but you get what you pay for. I see them just as a nice disk but then just a stock plate.

I like the Exedy Stage 2's Great for about 280ftlbs but at 17psi it's slowly going to ----. I'm following BigdaddtVeetac's route TWIN DISC for the big boys over 500hp. Just trying to get the $1200 for it by next summer is the pain. NO XMAS FOR ME.

LSD FTW, badly leaking main seal and no slip at 10 psi in 5th pulling hard :D.

I run xtd stage 5 preasure plate 1900lbs, stage 4 - 6 puck disc, and 8lb flywheel. 19psi on huge turbo and no slip at all

Re: anyone heard of or run a XTD or F1 Racing clutch?

ebay clutches FTW. ive got the XTD stage 4 unsprung in my daily, its really easy to drive and it holds great. its already held 300+ without slipping.

my CRX has an ebay clutch, pretty much the same as all the rest and its holding 350WHP and 8000RPM slick launches.
