Anyone have experience setting up security systems or IP camers?

Thing is, it wouldnt be able to cover the entire space. I want something that will rotate and freeze on motion detection. It might be cheaper to buy some sort of rotating servo than 2 or 3 cameras. Any ideas?
How do I get an alarm going for the doors? I was thinking maybe an air horn?
