Anyone have cryotreating experience?

Default Anyone have cryotreating experience?

I'm looking to get my crank gear cryoed in my timing assembly because the highest hp 2.4 (made 410whp) cracked his crank gear. I know it mostly has to do with the revolutions and not the power, he was revving to 7400 or so. I don't want that happening to me. Bottom line, I found a place online that cryos. They have a $75 minimum and you can send up to 8lbs of material. So i was going ot send the crank gear obviously, both the cam gears, the timing chain, tensioner, and guides. I probably still have a few more pounds of ---- I can send. I was thinking clutch fork too. Any other suggestions of ---- that will be worthwhile but isnt heavy (no axles or anything). Thanks

send extras then sell them to the other 2.4 liter guys and make your money back ?

Are you basing this on that one guys setup? There could have been another issue that ended it all.

I really don't know, but it shouldnt have cracked at all. Just a cheap precaution I guess.

make a honda one fit then you would have to worry about it breaking for no reason

the process makes the metal to be frozen brital. if its a piece thats gonna take some impacts, think a little harder. stuff like brake pads are cool. piston rings not so much
