If I owned a 300zx I'd just get a regular front mount and make it work.

In theory it's better to have 2 intercoolers on a twin turbo setup and not let the air join until just right before the throttle body, or better yet have 2 plenums and 2 throttle bodies, just a balance tube between the plenums.
The theory is that if one turbo is flowing a tiny bit less than the other that will lead to turbulent flow where the air paths join.

If you use a dual inlet intercooler than that should solve the problem of turbulance.

Yeah, that's essentially 2 coolers on the same core.

The problem is finding the cores that are that narrow. The only people that I know of that make them is Spearco and they think there ---- is made of gold.
I do a FMIC kit for the 3000GT and Dodge Stealth TT(replaces the two tiny SMICs)that runs twin inlets into the intercooler and a single outlet to the TB, it works great. The 300Z has twin TB I think so you would have to run two outlets.
