anyone ever - f22 --> CRX

Re: anyone ever - f22 --> CRX
I had been thinking about an F series in my old CRX for a while, even thought about maybe trying it in my hatch. I know Bisimoto racing does make the adapter, but like it's been said...it's big money for one. From everything that i've read so far, Bisi uses a mildly modified F-block, and a stock F-head casting that he obviously obliterates with porting and polishing and all his nice expensive valve train components. According to him though, his big secret is his custom cam profile, and using side-draft carbs for high rpm fuel atomization.
Also, it is true that the f-series aren't very well balanced either. Ever do a timing belt on one? They're a pain in the *****...2 belts...one for timing, and another for a balancing shaft to try and keep things calm at a somewhat higher rpm. The only nice thing about them is the iron sleeve block...they love the boost

Add Kaaz or Quaife, no more problems.
I did snap a axle using my massive D15 torque on WIDE 20x6x14 slicks.
Off the to exploded diffs, B series use the same style pinion gears, matter of fact I'll bet the ZC side gears = LS side gears......
this is how most B series trannys are given to me..........this happen in a parking lot going 15-20 mph......or less.......
Ask Fowee the details

Re: anyone ever - f22 --> CRX
they love the boost with new rods, and good tuning, I know what happens without the tunning :P But the timing belts(plural) are'nt that hard to do. I always thought it felt fairly smooth driving it, as long as all the motor mounts are good.

Re: anyone ever - f22 --> CRX
Tuning is the key word. I'm not saying go all out nuts and stick with a totally stock block and run a crapload of boost, that's just stupidity. But i know there are a few boosted f22's on this forum that run pretty decent with stock internals. Plus i'm sure you can spend a butt-load of money and get it balanced out nicely and even perhaps get rid of the balance shaft as well.

I would stick with the f tranny's I don't really care for the d's I blew one up with just a mini-me and no boost at all thing poped so hard hit the bottom of my foot when she went took the diff pin and twisted it in half and shot her out the back left a 3 to 4 inch hole. only had 120k on it too.
