Anyone ever broke or fractured a rib?
 

I think i may have broken or fractured a rib on my right side, stupid z trans kind fell on my chest and im too poor for a trans lift. It hurts from the middle of my chest to my spine and when i move my right arm around it hurts. Taking deep breaths cause pain aswell.

Sounds about right.

Doesn't sound like the rib is floating, meaning it's broken clean through and has jagged edges tearing at the adjacent tissue. Hard to do that without really noticing it. Poke at it a bit to see if you can feel a break, and take a good look at your chest in a bathroom mirror. If it's just a bad crack my $0.02 is to save a few bucks and don't go to a doctor just chew some painkillers and bind up your chest.

They take a while to heal unless you are real careful for a while about lifting and stuff.

I have broke a lot of ribs. They don't do ---- for you anyway.

yep, sounds like a cracked rib to me. They are tons of fun. :) Wrap it up and take some pain pills.

why cant you take pain pills, if it really starts to hurt go to doctor and tell them you want perkacets, take 2 and you feel the best youve every felt.

when i had knee surgery about 1 1/2 month ago, thats what my doc gave me. best ---- i ever had. you dont feel a buzz or anything, but you just feel good and every just feels good.

Breathing could be painful because the muscles used for breathing pull on the fucked up rib.

Only reason I can see for you not taking pain meds is probation. A doctor's prescription takes care of that.

morphine isnt as strong as oxycontin unless its injected. i liked the oxy better cause of this. If i had some i'd probably be high as ----. but who wants to go back to rehab :3

Ahh, prescription drug abuse.

I've cracked 3 ribs in one go. It sure does ------- suck. You'll find all your friends start telling you jokes to make you laugh. Keep a straight face and smack them in the mouth.

And yeah, doctors won't do ----.

Havent drank in five years or smoked pot in 4, had 3 year sclean of meth too till abnout a month ago, took me48 hours and about a 1/4ounce to figure out why i stopped in the first place.... ------- pathetic missery!!!! my aa sponsor punched mein the ------- jaw (god damn big ass biker dood), he told me thats what he was gonna do if i fucked up, so...i figure its fair... Back to the meetings ive went.... Just had to start counting overagain.

Its realllly a 13 step program, the 13th being staying sober through the women with low self estem in the program of AA!!! But... ya got to getem in their first 90 days or so...after that they start to thinkalot better....

Yeh, the roomie is an ex-drinking buddy turned twelve stepper. He uses AA like it's a dating service, and bitches about how crazy the women are. Haha

i've never broke a rib (to my knowledge) but i did break my knee and tore an acl (a few years back). and right know i have a broken hand (fucked it up last monday) i broke the 2 outter knuckles, it's called a boxer break (take a guess why) i gotta wear this fiberglass splint for 6 weeks. but they did give me perks and motrin.... it goes nicely with my cali chronic...but still doesnt kill pain (i think i've ruined my tolerence to pain pills)

A few years ago i cracked a couple rib on a snowmobile, I did have one of the most badass looking bruises but could barely walk for like a week.

150lbs huh? How far was it falling from? 5ft?

Toug hit out or get some pain meds. Been to doctors for broken ribs, not ---- they can do but dull the pain.
