Anybody sell aftermarket front upper control arms...
 

for an 89 Civic? I just got a quote for like $100 per side for the upper arms. If I'm going to pay that kind of money I want something aftermarket. I have looked all over hell and can't find anything. I don't want to buy these damn things. Why the ---- do they have to weld the ------- ball joints to the control arm? That's ------- retarded. >:( If I'm going to do this, I would like to be able to just buy the ball joints for the next time so I don't have to buy a new front half of a car just to replace some ball joints. ::)

Can I use something for a 92-95 somehow? :-\

the 92-5 bolt up the same weay but i dont know if there a perfect match. i know spoon sports makes an aftermarket upper controll arm but its for camber conrrection but its the whole arm.

u can probably use them from a 92, remember that all civics from 90-00 use the same shocks (style)

but the CRX struts are diffrent from a 92-00. if you use a 92-00 strut on a crx it will screw with the car.

I wonder if I have to find out the hard way?

Does the 92-95 Civic require upper control arms for ball joint replacement?

I couldn't find either one. :-\ They make them for 92+, but not 89.

Onyx, yeah I think they do have replaceable upper ball joints. That's what it looks like anyways.

Thanks man. :) I don't know why I didn't find those. ??? I guess they don't sell any aftermarket ones yet. :( Those are like $40 cheaper per side. :o

the 92-95 ball joints don't fit, i tryed one in my car(atleast i think it was from a 92-95) and it sticks to far out, and doesn't fit in the little groove in the top of the fender well.

Well that sucks. I contacted that guy from ebay and he quoted me $163.50 for all this shipped:
TIE ROD end right outer 1988-1991 Honda Civic

He is out of lower ball joints until this weekend so I'm going to wait until he gets them and order it all at once. That should make for a fun weekend. ::)

this dude quoted me $100 for upper control arms from skunk2. He's a major seller of skunk2 on ebay, but I would check their website 1st, then get the model number and email tony directly.

92+ bolts up but throws you slightly out of alignment.. in some cases like my buddy's car they fit perfectly.. however.. that could be due to a major accident or something the car had been in.
