Anybody getting pop-ups?
 

I'm sure it's just me, but I want to be sure. I only get them on this site. I've ran Ad-ware, Spybot and Hijack this and I still get them on this site only. ??? Is it just me? :-\

naaa sometimes u can google the links and come up with other people who have the same problem.. then ill get the name of the virus/whatnot and get u the fix :P

Well now it's not working. ::) Figures, when I want a pop-up, I can't get one. When I don't want them, I get hundreds. ::) Fuckers....

did you run all those in safe mode? maybe you are missing something.

try using AVG its pretty good. Beats the hell outta norton.

I Get supposed "Windows Messages" saying my computer is being attached by internet spyware. I re-directs me to a spyware remover with a Free Scan but have to pay for removal.

Funny thing is, it does it even when the internet isn't up and running like while tuning a car!

I use Firefox and the Adblock extension along with a filterset updater. Also with AdAware, the mini pc works pretty good.

so basically you have spyware that needs to be removed. >:(

Why are you such a computer elitist.... If he cant remove spyware on his on, theirs no ------- way he can use linux. Not everyone likes to search for hours to figure out every error you get when trying to install whatever RPM.

u meant he windows dialog pop up? not a html pop up?

start > control panel > administrative tools > services > find the one named messenger...

right click properties.. disable the bich O0

Go to www.sysinternals.com. Click on "Processes and Threads", download Process Explorer and Autoruns.

Process Explorer shoes you the processes running, and where they are running from.

Autoruns is like msconfig, but much better.

Post up for more instructions, it can get complicated.

Haha, count me out then. :P Pop-ups are gone now(for some reason?). I hate computers.... :3
