Anybody ever tried Chaser?
 

Chaser is those pills that are supposed to prevent a hangover. I never thought they would work until my friend made me try them. When I drink I usually don't ---- around and usually get smashed so I never thought these things would work but they do. I work up at 9:30 thirsty as hell and full of energy. (Opposed to my usual waking up time of 2-3p.m) The store prices are crazy for them but my friend gets them here and I'm ordering them for myself too:

i havnt but my friend sure did need one the other morning, we went to bi-lo to get some carpet cleaner and he threw up 4 times in there. ;D

I feel kinda queerish saying this, but pop 3 midol when you wake up and down it with a beer. You'll be ------- perfect.

omg, I can't believe you admit to that. These things are probably cheaper (and more manly) than midol and you don't need to drink a beer in the morning to feel better. You wake up feeling 100%

I usually just take a couple aspirin and drink a couple big glasses of water in the morning.. Eating before you go to bed helps too. Drinking water before bed helps as well.

they tested those pills in maxim, and i think they only worked well with hard liquor.... but i wouldnt know ive never had a hangover, it just runs in the family

Give it a few years. I never got a hangover until I was around 20. :-\ You're almost 21? Hmmmm....

see i never understand what is "hangover" since i never had one no matter how much i drink :D
what about getting these BAD BAD heartburn right after having a lot of beer.??? any pills for it or am i fucked.
it happened with beer only, usually after like 8 +
if i am taking hot stuff it will never happene.

I've also read that prickly pear cactus extract helps with hangovers. An independent study at Tulane showed that the extract with the substance Tex-OE really did help for alot of people. You can buy it here www.hangoverprevention.com/order.html but it seems pretty expensive ($25 for 10 pills). Might be worth it though on those nights when you know you going to be trashed.

best thing ya'll can do is ride it out. No matter what you take or eat or drink your kidneys can only convert so much alcohol at a time. So all this ---- probably doesn't do ----, probably just makes you think that it helps. Believing something can do a lot. :-\

just eat before you go to sleep and down a huge glass of water with an exderine migrane or something similar, which might make you wake up to piss but if you do drink more water while your up. and when you wake up just drink more water and take mroe exedrine. The only time I've had a hangover in the last 2 years is if I didn't do this. Being hungover is mostly from being dehydrated, hence all the water helps, and it helps your kidneys which you are abusing. And I have heard that midol helps but I've never tried it.

I know all the little tricks to prevent hangovers and riding it out doesn't help when you stopped drinking at 4a.m and you gotta get up for an 8:00a.m. class. These things definitely aren't placeboes and if they are than they are the greatest placebo ever.


You do need to drink a ton of water with these things cause you are still dehydrated. When you wake up you feel thirsty as hell but you feel great. I just think they're great for if you wanna go drinking and gotta do something in the morning

don't brush your teeth for a while after you do throw up becuase the stomache acid weakens the enamal and you'll brush it off.

there's no hangover with weed. lol, that's probably why it's illegal. (No I don't smoke it, just tried it a couple times) But yeah, instead of using money to buy those things, just drink a glass of water with every serving of alcohol. You'll be good to go.

I hear people say this all the time but I think its the gayest thing ever. Who walks around a bar or party with a beer in one hand and a glass of water in the other ::) And also if you do that you won't get as drunk

and that's just ------- gay and pointless. I've been cutoff at the bar before and instead of beer the waitress brought me water. Sobered me right up.... >:(

But the glass of water to one beer is a good thing. At least it will prevent your hangover when you have to be up at 8.


The reasons I see these pills as non working is that alcohol basically stops ACH (which prevents you from pissing, which is why when you are hungover/drunk you piss a lot). And the lack of ACH which makes you pee, which then makes you dehydrated, makes your brain dehydrated and you get a nice headache. The only why I see these pills as working is if they actually simulate the ACH and stop you from peeing so much, which in turn keeps you more hydrated. So if you hungover drink a lot of water, and if you feel you have a kidney stone drink a lot of orange juice (just thought some of you might need that :P).

Damn, I need something right now. I guess I had a little too much to drink last night. I ate before I went to bed too. I woke up at like 6am after going to bed around 2am and drank an enormous amount of water along with 2 advils. I just ate half a large pizza and I still feel like ----. :-\ I think I'm still a bit drunk too. ??? I was definitely still drunk when I woke up. I'm a sucker for $2 scooners. 8)

i went to the titty bar and had my first legal beer... then i got the stripper to buy me my second legal beer. It was a good night, but it jinda sucked cause we went to an all nude place later and it was after 1 so they couldnt take anything off, so we just bought lots more beer and hung out. Still no hangover yet
