I have always used regular 5W30 castorl in all my engines, no problems at all.

bringing this thread from the dead, but I did a back to back dyno test between Castrol Syn. and Amsoil on my wife's car.

I dataloged all the temps and after 8-10 runs on the dyno on each oil I recorded the best power band for each oil.

Amsoil 5w30 gained 3-5 whp on a 1.8 gsr across most of the power band. Ill post a dyno sheet when I scan it.

I didn't belive it either when my coworker that sells it told me that its the shiet, but with proof on the dyno and seing better gas millage in my wifes car, well im sold to it.

Im going to run it in my car and im even going to help distirbuit it.

quaker state high reving synthetic. i like it but have caught ---- from everyone that ive told i use it but i dont car works for me. and when i switched from reg. to synthetic i could tell a noticable difference. my mom bought some amsoil from my uncle last year or so and we got like 15 quarts chillin in the basement when i build my block i think i mite try it after i break it in.
