You didnt answer my question, how can you build boost off the line differently with that 2step compared to uberdata? neither load the engine.

i honestly have no idea, i've never had any experience with any type of two step/launch control other than uberdata's ftl, so i had no basis of comparison, a couple guys told me (one that runs uberdata, and one that has, but didn't like it so he went back to the afc ::)) that their two steps *exact words* "spool the turbo up better than uberdata's ftl", i don't know, they obviously don't like uberdata b/c they don't know how to use it :-\

It all lies in how the rev control is done. I suspect uberdata uses a fuel cut rev limiter, while the aftermarket 2-step cuts spark. When you cut spark the fuel can burn in the exhaust and create a little more thrust than with the fuel cut but the maximum spoolup would be with running ATDC timing on the limiter, coupled with dropping the occasional spark. It eats turbine wheels tho.

EDIT: Now that I've actually read about this particular stutterbox I've seen that it cuts both fuel and spark.

Re:anybody ever heard of this 2 step???

A few months back I played with the timing and fuel while banging the FTL on Uber. On my old T3 I could achieve about 4-5psi while limiting at 6500. I took the timing from 22* at that point in the map and lowered it to like 10* and added %20 fuel. It only made a small diff, like may 6-7psi at 6500. At higher rpms Im sure it would be a few lbs more. I havnt tried it with my larger turbo, but I doubt I could achieve any real boost at any RPM.

So on smaller turbo's, yeah you can build boost off a 2step. Thats my first hand experience. Good luck.

With ignition cut i spooled .6bar (full boost on sc61) at 6500.. but with fuel cut it would not get anything.

MSD Rocks

that's basically what they were claiming.

Thats BS, I have a MSD box as well and tried it, theres no way that sc61 is going to spool without any load on the engine. ---- josh I was just talking to you the other day and you were complaing it was so laggy.
