That reminds me of this nerdy little kid I graduated HS with. His first year @ college and his roomate was some sports hero 
The only problem I had w/a roommate was this one guy who was super messy and though my food/stuff = his food/stuff, a complete -----, always using people. Last I heard he was almost homless and got kicked out of his band. whats up now you dumb hippie

THe biggest thing in college isn't the personalities...it is the schedules. What sux is having a roomie that goes to bed at 9pm and you love to stay up til 3am.
I traded roommates a month into it, nothing against the guy, just clashing schedules.
If you are a partier and your mate is a partier you are good to go. Plus if he is actually on the team you will never see him.

I loved college life a little too much. My roomate was cool although he had this teddybear that was boarderline gay. Dont bring anything of high value to you, as it will probably either get stolen or soaked in cheap beer.
