Re:any1 in here have a turbo corolla?
And everyone seems to forget about me I think I was the first guy on here with a turbo 4afe. I had it as high as 14psi on a stock bottom end. Never, ever ------- do that. Keep it around ten, overfuel it, and good luck hooking up the BTM. It looks like a 4ag head gasket would work, if you wanted a thicker one, but there is at least one place out there that shelf-stocks low comp 4afe pistons now. I ran two fuel rails, 8 injectors (1 row stock, 1 row DSM 450's) and it worked out well with the www.034efi.com AIC driver thingie. I am doing the same deal on my 4agte with two rows of 450's/microtech injection because it worked so well the first time. If you want to see the setup in action, find the video for HMT BBQ #1. Peace.

and what do u mean good luck hooking up the btm? is it really complicated? and i second on the pics

I think the factory 4agze pistons work in the 4afe, they came in 8.0:1 and 8.9:1, they are forged and ceramic coated, all you'll ever need and alot cheaper than aftermarket.
I built my turbo 4age setup for about $800, but the old 3rib hi-comp only lasted a couple thousand miles at 7psi. So now that I'm adding a decent clutch and another block the cost of my project just doubled.
I'm using RHB5 from a Ford Probe/Mazda Mx6, I get strong boost at around 3000, full boost around 3500-3800, and it holds it all the way to 7500 RPM redline. I'm using the IC out of the same car, and using 1.75" piping like they did on those cars. BOV is a bosch. For engine management I'm using MegaSquirt DIY standalone fuel management with the ignition modification which let's me program Ford EDIS distributorless ignition from a 90-93 Ford Escort.
The car isn't running right now as I'm currently swapping in a 4agze block, and stronger clutch.
have you seen this place?
