any you nogs bought a dtv converter yet?

seeing as my precious analog tv will not be visible in about 6 months i am looking for a good dtv to analog converter, what have you guys bought and hows it working.
I've seen a lot of conflicting views on different boxes as far as picture quality/signal reception/ ect

I just realized I was int he 21st century and got a digital TV. You can go to a pawn shop and get a decent digital TV for a few hundred bucks. :1

I just applied for the govt coupons today.

I am getting two $40 coupons. So the question is, what do these things cost in the store?

Just get a new TV. If you have an old ass tv and no cable, then life sucks.

If you have a satellite or cable box, you won't need it.

You'll only need it for over the air broadcasts.

I got those coupons but will never buy a old skool tv, and I don't really watch tv.

Man, all that stuff been shut down afaik. I used to program the Direct TV cards. it was a PITa cause they started spiking the signal weekly and more frequently.

I checked a couple of months back and couldn't find a hack for either. dishnetwork or direct tv

I went from the stone to the space age. 27" boob tube with bunny ears and tin foil. Now 42" Pioneer Plasma with HD Direct TV. I don't see any difference in picture quality. Hell I think it's worse. I just got the stuff cause I was bored at the appliance store and qualified for a credit card. :P
