well with the exception of the skyline. its power comes to the rear wheels but some power gets transfered to the front to make it all wheel. thats how you can see some skyline drift

AWD is the best all-around solution. RWD is the best solution if you're building a drag-only car.

First, you need to compare apples to apples. A drag car is specifically that, a car built for drag racing. If they cared about turning, it wouldn't be a drag car. And no you don't need slicks and a fully prepped track. Go look at some of the 60' times in the 10.5 radial class.

AWD is only good in rallying. If AWD is so great than why are all the fastest cars and world records held by RWD car? Are you saying a formula 1 car would have an advantage if it were AWD? AWD does nothing but add weight and parasitic drivetrain losses.

Rally cars are bloody quick on any road surface, also on dry tarmac. They are the ultimate performance machines and when they were not limited to 300hp with an air restrictor they came close to F1 cars in performance on some tracks.
The 10.5 radial class is still on a glue prepped track.
In many cases F1 cars would benefit from AWD, their acceleration out of the slower corners and off the line would be improved, but top speed and fuel economy might suffer a bit.
Plus the handling of an AWD car under loss of traction is a lot more controlled, instead of fishtailing randomly like a rwd car does.

Those of you who believe that AWD cars are designed primarily for driving conditions that are less than optimal are greatly misinformed about this marvel of automotive engineering. Don't confuse AWD with off-road, 4-wheel drive systems. AWD systems simultaneously and continuously "sense" road conditions under each of the four wheels and apply proportionate power as appropriate. In addition to sure-footedness on slippery roads, AWD generally improves/enhances handling and performance. That's why Audi Quattros were banned from racing circuits in the late `80s (RWD vehiles could not touch them), and why Porsche and Lamborgini now produce vehicles that feature AWD. Indeed, it's because the `06 GS300 features AWD that I'm attracted to what strikes me as an otherwise soul-less automobile.

FWD-biased AWD systems, which I think we have narrowed down to everything except Skylines, are going to push in corners, where a RWD car can step the tail out to balance things.

Trust me... RWD cuts corners better than any AWD vehicle you've been in.

What the hell are you talking about. AWD cars have center differentials to control the torque bias between front and rear to get maximum traction. What torque split suits best depends on conditions and is often adjustable.
The Skyline doesn't have a front-rear differential like most AWD cars, it just has a computer controlled clutch for the front wheels.
I don't know what AWD cars you've driven but it's certainly possible to step the tail out even though they wont rotate around the front wheels like a RWD car will.

I wouldnt mind a GTS-T (RB20det) as they are easy to get power out of , the secret is all in the ecu.
When they leave Japan they are majourly restricted so that power can be easily unlocked by upgrading the computer.
RWD + high psi =
