When I went to renew my 2 year plan with Verizon, the representative asked me if I wanted unlimited text messaging for only $5... sounded good to me so I signed up. Well, I just got my first bill, $170 of which is text messages I called and they told me that "Unlimited" basically meant 50 "free" text messages between Verizon customers (after that they were charged), and any other text messages are charged (even though he told me it was Unlimited.. how else was I to take it?) :1

Any thoughts? I called and they basically said I was on my own and they couldn't drop it because it was already through the billing cycle, although the bill was only received today.

I had renewed my sprint contract right before going to college, they said I would have coverage where I was going. Got there and nothing worked. So they agreed to close teh account but I had to pay some $200 early cancel/activation fee. I just went through the MN Atorney General, and sprint refunded me everything that I spent.

I would tell them that they didnt uphold there end of the deal and you want out of the contract.

Keep calling in, and buggin their customer service reps... soon enough you can just say "damn looks like I just costed Verizon $170 in paying you fools to answer the phone and listen to me bitch... I wonder how many more days I could do this"

Seriously though, get the names of people and time you call and just keep bitching.

get the name and time of everyone you talk to. say this is waht the sales man told me, get the sales mans name. and Say I will not pay this you need to take it up with the sales men. And try not to be a dck about it AT FIRST. say " well if me sales man told me I had unlimited text messages Do you thinkj I should have to pay". They obviously won't say no. If they won't do anything ask to talk to there manager. most likely you will need at least the first level supervisor before you get anywhere. but don't back down. but I'm very good at bitch to peolpe to get what I need

yeah you got fucked on that one. i used to have vw but they were too pricey, but if you argue with them long enough they normally cave and lower the bill. i have cingular now and its just as good as verizon. except unlimited with them means 2000, and i can do that in a week, so i always have a big *** bill. too many damn girls always texting me.
