I just got back from a riding weekend trip to Killington, VT. Some kid told me that I was old school because I ride a free riding mountain board, Oxygen FR47 with step in plate binding and Burton Reactor hard boots. Free time riding this season. Last year was way too warm and I only did it once. This year hopefully I can ride more.

I'm to lazy to learn snow boarding
Being skiing at Baker 3 times so far this year. They've finally got enough snow
Went to Crystal on New Years day, but it was windy as hell . Kinda sucked.

ok I just bought my bindings today, they are Sims strap bindings. Only $80, and they seem like they work good. I'll be testing the whole setup out this thursday if all goes as planned!

Hi boosted i ride there too... what town are u in? Im in Orchard Park. Its pretty cheap there too for how decent it is, i usually pay $99 for a season sunday night pass (whole seasons worth of sundays!) and then you can ride from 3-10 when nobody is around and its gorgeous. Im riding a 160 Salomon X wide with burton custom strap in bindings and vans world traveler boots... i like that setup but need to upgrade next season

Ive ridden since I was a wee lad (Living 20min down the road from Crystal Mt) Probably about *thinks a min* about 10 years, although only about 5 out of those ten were with passes, and consistent riding. The other years I was in college and could only let myself go once a month. (any more and Id quit college and go back to riding).

My first board was the first Twin tip board ever made, and I still have it, an '89 Barfoot Twin tip 161, it is floresecent yellow and built like a giant ski. The bindings were steel.

I still havent ridden regularly, and when I do I get frustrated because Im so out of shape, that I cant do what I used to do, and end up having to stop a lot due to muscle fatigue. I used to hate people that stopped, and slowed me down. (fate is always Ironic)
Last year I went to Red Mt in the Canadian Rockies (Supposedly some of the steepest/best powder w/o a helocpter) I went once up and once down before my legs were wasted.

Im running everyday on a treadmill 45+min a day to get back in shape, and hope to buy anouther pass this season. Snowboarding was really a major part of my life, and Id like it to be again.

As for boards and equipment...bahh I dont care, Ive still got a bunch of the stuff in my basement, different Mt.s = different tools.

I never ride anything smaller then 150 (back in the New School Days all my friends rode little 140's and stuff I dont even know if they still do that?)
My favorites over the years, were Option boards. Cant stand K2's (They felt like a damn Ironing board, they still use plastic cores too, and that sucks up too much vibration that I like)

Ill never own clip in bindings...I hope they go the way of the baseless binding, Like having sex with 8 condoms on...

Well I can go on about snowboarding adventures, but this is a damn car site
