Any sites of where to buy salvage sportbikes
I'm looking around for sites that sell newer salvage sportbikes. I've looked around on ebay but not much going on. I mean what do insurance companies do with them or whatever? Auctions or what? I'm Looking for a Kawa ZX12R salvage bike.

i used to go to the insurance auto auctions and there would be bikes every now and then. check out www.iaai.com for an auction near you. they used to show pictures of the cars and a list of what is gonna be there but i think you need to register now.

Really I just want the engine/tranny from a zx12r. I actually don't like bikes or ever plan on riding one besides one powered by my legs. :P

Re: Any sites of where to buy salvage sportbikes
it would be cheeper to go with an older motor. like one off of a gs1000 or a kz1000 unless you're building a kit car or somthing. but a kz1000 motor would rip on a gokart >:D

Try www.ecoastauto.com they have bikes. They are the biggest salvage yard on the east coast and they will work with you if you need something.
