any poker players here??

just got done with my homemade poker table and figured i would share. it's my first table and i had minimal wood working experiance. the polyuerethane on the racetrack didn't turn out too well but i figure my next one will be better. the table was supposed to be 8' x 4' but my basement where i was building it has some funnky stairs and it was impossible to get the whole sheet down there so i had to cut it down to 86" x 44". should work fine and still seat 10 people but i think 8 would have been more comfortable.

it's funny because the only thing i have ever made before was a crappy speaker box that sounded like ----, so i was pretty suprised on how it came out too.

poker has been around forever, so i really don't se how it "was hot" :1. if you don't know how to play then just say it don't make it sound some sort of fad like boosting hondas for cheap :4

damn hook me up with the plans you got for that poker table! I wanna make one. I play more poker than I should. I am known to play rather than study or do homework, even if there is a test/final the next day.

i'll put all my info together and put a link in there for the table i got most of the ideas from so you can use it as a reference. before you start to make it you should try and figure out how big of a table you have room for. once i get a bigger house with a less awkward stairway i will be able to make a 8'x4'er that will seat 10 pretty comfortabley.

post your email and i will send it to you.

I've been playing for about a little over a year now, lately my buddies have'nt been playing as much and I'll start missing it and find some way to play, I love it, mainly cause its gambling that is'nt all about luck

i totalled up all my reciepts and it came to $221.36. it should have been more but i used a 40% off coupon at Jo-Ann's fabric and my dad got the foam from work for me. so i would say add about another $80 or so.
