Any poker players here?
 

My roomamte is heading to a local poker tournament tonight. His boss is a hard core poker player. I decided to play around with some online poker today and I got hooked. I've never played before, but apparently I'm a natural. I turned $1000 into $30,000 in 2.5 hours on www.pokerstars.com I have been glued to the computer since 8am this morning. I had to drag myself away to get food before I died. Anybody want to play?

Poker is a big thing now but I just never got into it and I don't have any interest in learning it. :-\ I guess I have enough things to occupy my time, I don't need another

OMG I love spades. Back in the day all the homies would just sit around, get drunk and play spades. It was so ------- cool. I'm an all around kick ass card player for some reason. I'll ------- work you in spades. 8)

I just signed up to pokerstars, but I have played a few others that are better. I'll have to look them up and tell you what they are. Lets get an HMT table going!

This sucks. I want to play with real money, but Paypal won't let me send funds becsue they don't support gambling transfers. ::) I can't use my checking account because they say my account is already in use. ??? WTF? It better not be. :o I'm ready for the big time and it won't let me play. :(

Yeah I play texas holdem tournaments all the time and have won a lot of money out of them. I've probablt played about 20 tournaments with 100 dollar buy ins and have won at least 10 of them at 1200 a peice. Good for vacation money and time with the girlfreind.

Partypoker.com The reason your turning 1000 into 30000 is because it's not real money, and people aren't going to play as if it was... They will call dumbass bets and things like that. Still fun though.

yeah i said that too Whitey but after i started playing for a while and learned all the tricks and started actually winning money...you get hooked! Its a very addicting game :-\

soo true, online poker and poker with people is totally different. online your playing the cards, in person your playing the people. not to mention its harder to go all in with your paycheck than it is the monopoly money.
