woops, just go to summit racing and type in velocity stacks, they are at the bottom, and cost 20 bucks...

yea, those could be the same, but you never know, they could be plastic or something.

But I don't see any for independant throttle body's int 48, 52, 55, and 60mm 8)

just reading that description makes me never want one of those on my car : "There are instances when air filter assembly may not be required, as in outright racing situations or competition engines equipped with turbo-superchargers. In these cases, the use of an RSA high-efficiency velocity stack can improve overall engine airflow and boost both volumetric efficiency and torque. Flow-contoured entried are designed to reduce boundary layer disturbance as high velocity air enters the intake path. Results include improved air stability and increased engine performance."

I was gonna post the RS akimoto site, but I didn't wanna kill your sales, note my edit in my previous post ;)

Re: Any interest in velocity stacks for the front bumper? now w/pics!

I bought one of the RS Akimoto velocity stacks from Summit about a year and a half ago. They are actually very good quality. It is machined aluminum and is the appropriate radius. I actually didn't end up using it because it was so much bigger than the inlet of the turbo I was using.

You better have well designed charge pipes with smooth welds though because ghetto fab pipes will cause turbulence and completely negate the positive effect of the velocity stack.

If you can make them the size of Intake manifold runners and price them cheaply I'd be all over them.

this is kinda ghetto...

edit...

now that i thinka bout it i dont really see how it will act as a velocity stack like the one ^^^ above.. it just looks like one but not really designed for high efficiency airflow...
