any 240sx owners? need help!!!!

So I bought an 89 S13 a while back, and have been spending lots of time trying to get it running. I bought it with a blown motor, but everything else is in perfect condition. The first thing I did was source a 5-speed swap. Owning an automatic sort of kills the sports car aspect of this great car. Ayways I put in a new KA24DE motor in it and tried firing it up today but got nothing. I can hear the relay cliking but still nothing. I havent had much luck on the internet with this because everybody swaps SR20's in these cars. Well not me, I now that 2.4 motor I put in will make ton's of torque boosted. Do 240's have a clutch pedal safety switch that prevents you from starting the car unless you push down on it? if so how do you get around this if you did a 5-speed swap?

I know this is a Honda base website, but I know theres alot of smart people on here, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

did u plug in the harness :P. hahaha. but seriously check your connections, check if u have spark and fuel. if u have both you seriously have something wrong. is the ecu plugged in? maybe the ecu is fried, maybe your battery is dead. cheak everything!!!!

Yeah, Id check the battery and everything first. Make sure the eyelet connector and the 1-wire connector are both connected on the starter. Check your grounds too. Wish I could be of more help. Best of luck. Oh yeah, when it clicks, is it 1 click, or a series of rapid clicks?

Entertaining anecdote:
Earlier this week, my bddy was doing a DE-DE swap and he called and said 'it clicks, but nothing happens' I went over to his house to help him out. I tried turning over the car, and it was exactly as he reported: just a single clicking sound (obviously a relay). I asked him if his starter was in there good and wired up, which he confirmed. I got out of the car and almost slipped on something a broke my neck. It was the starter. lol noob

i tried to start my car once.. and nothing happen i was like wtf??

i got out, walked around the car. the battery was in my way, so i moved it onto the shelf in the garage.. looked around some more.. made sure all the connections were tight, then i went to start it again..

got back out, went over to the battery, pulled it off the shelf and connected it. went and started the car. and i tried to make sure that no one saw what i just did.

I know on the honda's you have to rig up the old shift lever to push this "button" (the one that would be pushed up if the lever were in park) That would be the starter switch thingy on a honda automatic. You may have to look at your car and see if you have to trick it into thinking it's in park for it to start. ???

Im guessing you unpluged the neutral safety switch to do the 5 speed swap. Plug it back in and put it in park. That should help.
