Im all about making gas go down put drilling in Alaska really wont help. If we did we wont yeild oil untill seven years and it will only last us about 14o days. Plus that could be a risk because we could use that oil for our military in case we would need it.

the Us is saving their oil sources, when the rest of the world runs out of oil, we'll still have oil and we'll become the automatic superpower. oil is the lifeblood of everything and the one with it wins. why did hitler lose ww2? because he lost to stalin at stalingrad and couldnt get to russia's oil source.

If we drill in Alaska, it proves that nothing is sacred. Nothing. That's nearly as bad as the new emminent domain ruling by the supreme court. The government could take your land if it's in the best interest of the people... and now they can take it if it's good for business. The US is such a ------- joke anymore.

As far as the gas prices, we're always looking for that cheap and easy fix, bandaging a problem until something else breaks down and we're all boo-hoo, gas prices are $3 or $4 a gallon? Well quit driving, ride a bike or walk once in awhile. I tuned my car for at least 28 MPG and drive my eco-beater as much as possible. I see the price increases as a way of the US actually catching up with the rest of the world and it all happened on Bush's watch and the blame goes squarely on him and his regime...

To suggest the Dems have had any power the last 4 or 5 years to do anything about it is really a pretty weak statement.

^ Why do I drive? Faster, Efficient, More Fun, EASIER. yea, im a lazy american, now suck me off

plus, i live in a remote area of my city, so if in 1 minute i got 3 blocks on a bike, it would take me:
12 minutes to get to work
44 minutes to get to school
36 minutes to get to my orthodontist
51 minutes to get to the beach where all the cool people hang out and showoff they're CARS

i do think it's stupid for people to be driving SUV's and v8 trucks. i'm kinda looking out for a CRX to be my next project, and save me some money =\

drive that d15 like a grannie for 35mpg

well im about to just invest in a bike. Its fun and the mileage is good. I wont be able to drive it in the winter but i hardly drive that much in the winter anyways. My honda has pretty good gas mileage im not complaining to much. but it takes like $20 bucks to fill my car up now when i can remember it was just $10 about a year ago. I can only imagine how much people are paying that have suv's and v8 engines.

Before there were suburbs, towns and cities were laid out in a way that you had everything you needed in a short distance and you could walk. Now people move way the ---- out of town, buy a big huge SUV to cart their lone fat *** and one child around and then complain about gas prices going up. More Demand = Higher Prices...

you guys are acting like the place they want to drill is some nice nature spot with deer and elk running arund in it.

ITS BAREN WASTELAND.

we ARE NOT running out of oil on earth. there is still years and years and years and years of supply left.

we have to drill for more oil and start converting to other hippie sources at the same time. you cant just drop one for the other. it doesnt work that way.

no one knows how much oil there is
