That sucks your car got stolen. That was a nice and clean car, did you have insurance that will pay for it. I wanted someone to steal my civic so i could get insurance money for it but now that its totaled it was a biger pain in the ass to deal with the insurance company. Good luck with this.

lol, just take all yer personal ---- out of it first, throw on that rice prom dress you took off last year cuz you realized it's gay and call your city's thugs and tell em you know of a good pick up. Oh, and reinstate that insurance. ;D

If I knew my car was worth stealing, I'd do it. I'd get my $ and get a better six. *nods*

Well, first of all I had an alarm, I didn't hear it. It was parked on the street, not in the driveway.

I have full coverage insurance but they won't do anything for 30 days. Until then I'll just have to wait. As much as I'd like to have a new car, that one had sentimental value :-[

Somebody has to design and build a lethal kick ass theft deterant system like in that old Robocop movie were budy breaks into the car tries to start it but he is not the owner so the car locks him in and fries him in the drivers seat :)

I've got a fuel cutoff switch I just never use it. my remote starter wouldn't work to well with the fuel cutoff and I'm not going to sit in the bitch when she warms up at 5:45 am.

they used to make The Club style steering wheel locks with movement activated tazers. sure they can take it off in 5 secs with a hack saw, but are they going to want it in their hands once it's triggered?
someone needs to come up with a defense for thieves with flatbeds. maybe those anti-personel flamethrowers to front and rear? ;D

Re:Another stolen Civic--Everett, Washington

Something that I use: a master lock. I use it everytime I lock up my car, except when I park it at work because we have a million cameras. I also use my kill switch everytime too and always at work.

How you use the master lock is to get one of the master locks with the longer clip thingie(for lack of a more technical term). You need the longer one to clear the knuckles under the dash. All you do is to use the master lock through the first steering knuckle underneath the dash. YOu put it through the knuckle so it binds and the wheel cannot be turned.
Get it?

Most people don't know about it so it makes it difficult to steal. Unless you know about it and you can get some bolt cutters to fit under there or if you have a flatbed it will be stolen.

My friend's car was almost stolen but luckily he used the master lock so it wasn't.

If anyone wants pictures I can take a few.
PS sorry if I jacked the post..I just thought this was some useful information.

253 area code is for my cellphone, I used to live in Auburn. We just moved to Everett in September. It was a nice welcoming from the locals to have my car stolen.

If all these cars are being stolen in a town of just 100,000 people...it might not be too hard to figure out who's doing it.

The're obviously into our kind of cars.

What shop is doing motor swaps cheap? Might be a good place to do some research.

**UPDATE**
Sad to say but the vehicle has been recovered, and according to the police report its been "stripped". I haven't seen it yet but I'm picking it up tomorrow from the towing yard. Its a dark day for me :'(

I'll post pics of the aftermath if possible. Thanks for the help and support. Keep an eye out for parts for sale from Everett.

damn.. I live in north seattle, and my rex has been broken into twice in the last two weeks.. The second time they
got the stereo and the speakers. The ignition cover was
ripped off, and a few wires were hangin.. but luckily
my peice of ---- battery dies after about ten minutes of
the dome light being on.. heh, so I think it was dead
by the time they tried to start it.. I'm Gonna Catch YOU

That's what I was thinking. There are about 50,000 people in my town and if my car got stolen I could go door to door to all of the ricer fucks and I would eventually find it.

well, that sucks, but if you know someone with a body shop, you can get a big estimate wrote up and get a nice b18c put in there in or something (if they took the engine), you'll be able to work the insurance company somehow........
