Another night at PIR.

Had my friend Austin film a couple passes, then some extra junk, like an 8 second dragster, and some of the guys from English Racing (local shop)

Then toward the end of the night, Johnny showed up and made some runs, working out the kinks as he goes.

my trans owned me on that 13.4 pass!!! you can hear it shift way early into OD!


the top of 3rd gear in my car is ~113mph i crossed the line right when i shifted into OD, i shoulud scan that messed up timeslip

Throw that pile of ---- in the trash. That ------- transmission is gay. :-\ Still a nice run though. It's going to be about another 4 hours before the DL finishes though......

i advanced the timing from 5 degrees base to 8 yesterday. and it runs a lot better!

Damn, sounds like it shifts to O/D too soon every time. Lot's of potential there. :)

i acually ran through on the messed up timeslip run and hit redline of 3rd gear right on the finish line. which is aprox ~113mph with the AOD and 3.55 rear end gears.

Hmm..must just be the long ass O/D gear that makes it seem like it shifted early.

yes it is quite long! 0.67:1!

if i had enough power to spin OD to redline it would be 169mph! and thats with 3.55 gears

if i had the stocker 2.73 gears redline of OD would be 220mph! lmao

Oh damn, I was going to check on those head studs for you today but my wife got rear ended this afternoon and I had to go help her out. Yeah, our new Scion is all smashed up :'(

At least it wasn't her fault.

I'm gonna be doing this again this friday if anyone is wanting to come out. I'm gonna try to get my last motor mount insert in first, and if I can get hold of a helmet, the slicks are tempting me.

My buddy just got his Datsun together and he'll be racing it as well... he's shooting for 10s this season!

Should be a good time.
