Another new Tuner Toys product! (Whorin it up!)

There is some interest in this part in our water port thread, so I thought I'd post up so the rest of you can see it.
(Please let me know if you guys want me to stop posting these in GD.)

So we've seen a lot of different ways to mount up and connect a 3Bar MAP Sensor, and thought we'd design our own. I know this prouduct isn't super unique like some of our other stuff, but it's pretty cool none the less.

Basically it converts the proprietary MAP sensor mounting location on the stock throttle body, to a 1/8NPT port. From there you can use any 1/8NPT threaded fitting to plumb the connection to whichever MAP sensor you end up using.

Here is the catalog shot...
http://static.zoovy.com/img/tunertoy...mapter_07_480w

Here is a shot installed (You can install it facing D-side or P-side)...

They are available in our store here...
MAPTER - Map Adapter from Tuner Toys

There is a photo installation blog here...
MAPTER - Installation Photo Blog

They are listed in our store for $19.90, but you guys can get them for $17.20 the next month buy hitting us up with an email at "Sales@TunerToys.com"

Another hookup for our HMT brethren.

Thanks Guys!

Craig

Yep, there is no need for this on the Pre-OBD Cars.

92-93 were on the firewall, and 94+ are on the throttle body as far as I know.

Thanks! I personally think the LHT is lower profiled than ours, but they don't use a threaded outlet. They instead use a tubing fitting that is permanently attached, so you're locked in to the one size. With ours, you can install just about any fitting size you need, into the 1/8NPT Port.

thier outlet looks twice the size of standard vac hose, it looks like a fitting of of an FITV welded to an adapter

That would be super sexy. So ours will only be somewhat sexy, since they are not A/C Compat.

We finished the first production run last night, watch for separate post on them soon.

I disagree that the LHT unit looks welded with a coathanger, the ones I've seen look clean.

Yah, that is true. To interface a GM 3 bar MAP with the LHT requires you get expander barbs, kind of annoying. And it's not like anyone on HMT would sling LHT money when TT has what's needed.

I love walking into shops I tune for and seeing cutting edge TT parts laying on the counter. Brandon @ BRMS saw them, froke out, and had to buy two:

Haha it's cool. Depending on their price and somewhat-sexiness, I might give up AC (again). It just gets rough in the nice humid Alabama summers, and I'm sure will be even nicer in the black rex. Looking forward to it.
