Craig, good stuff. Spencer is only bitter because it will cost him more in shipping.

These days, it's not about having a unique product, it's about the ease of buying for your customers. You're doing good. :)

Craig, Most people think parts just lie on shelves or appear at the snap of a finger. they dont realize you do this for a living and do a good job at that. Lots of phone calls, emails and transfers of $ for every item sold. Give him a break spenser, or no more Clutches going to Canada ;)

I know I'm a cheap ass but, O2 bungs are $2 at CarQuest, and a stainless O2 plug is $3 from my local Toyota dealer, is their something _special_ about this bung/plug kit?

Neil

Re: Another new product from Tuner Toys!

Yeah, you don't have to drive to Car Quest or your local Toyota dealership to get it. ;)

Not bashing on tuner toys but I was thinking the same thing. ---- I get them for free alot of the times down at muffler man because the can't fiqure out why the hell I would want just an o2 sensor bung.

Thanks for the good words guys, it is truly appreciated.

As for the bungs, we'll have to see if we can find another supplier or maybe a cheaper version of these things, as our cost on the pair is more than your CarQuest/Toyota Dealer pricing! Perhaps our supplier is sticking it to us. I had only done a quick check on Jegs.com etc, and we were cheaper than them, so I added them to our product line.

Leave it to HMT to always find the best deal! I love this place.

We'll keep you posted.

FYI I just bought a bung at CarQuest 2 days ago and it was 6.53 with taxes (15% here) and that Canadian Funds That 5.14 USD

Re: Another new product from Tuner Toys!

Was that for the bung and plug? Or just the bung?

I'm sure just the bung, most people buy just the bung, but I'd love to have a spare spot for the wideband. I paid like $4.sumthin for the plug at a local hardware store...

Re: Another new product from Tuner Toys!

yeah the bung/cap price is kinda up there, now $14 or 15 shipped might be cool...see if you can find where ATPturbo gets them from. got mine from them for about $9.50 + shipping($12 total)

ok ok, the flange is a unique product, so you're right guys, 21 isn't outrages, its just alittle above fair :p American labour is expensive.

Re: Another new product from Tuner Toys!

yeah sometimes their isn't alot of consistency between different CarQuest franchises, I deal with the one in Whitby, Ontario and last year they charge me $2.50 CDN, and I just bought a couple more the other day for the same price, which works out to about $2 USD.

The SS bung from Toyota is nice, it's considered an EGR bung, the Toyota EGR manifold thread it the same as an O2 sensor, I'm pretty sure this is the part number 90341-18006, I paid ~$4 CDN. I've also heard that alot of Honda's use the same thread for oil pan plugs, you guys will definitely be able to figure that out quicker than I can :)

Hey,
just a question for the Tuner Toys Guys. What ever happened to the outside oil return flange/fitting that had the gasket for your oil pan?

You are referring to the No-Drill -10 Male fittnig for the oil return at the pan?

We have them, they are just hard to get so we haven't listed them yet. We are going to have them manufactured at some point...

$19.90 plus shipping. Includes -10 fitting, gasket and hardware.

Thanks Spenser,

There was a lot of tooling and setup cost invloved with the first run of 50 flanges. We won't have to pay that fee next time, and should be able to bring down the price a bit. Also, the cost of steel has gone up drastically in the past year, something to do with China buying up all the steel they can get. The raw material for the flanges cost us almost double what we initially expected.

Re: Another new product from Tuner Toys!

Both of the items are at a reasonable price, but they are by no means the best deals around.

I think that looking into a different supplier would be a posotive thing craig. Shoudn't be to hard to get those prices down to HMT lowballer standards. We are a tough crowd to please, bunch of cheap mother fuckers. ;)

Re: Another new product from Tuner Toys!

I've gotta agree with david_jones001, Craig puts out some great product's, not even to mention customer support! They're great about gettin you your stuff fast and are alwayse willing to help you out with any Q's or concerns. I'd definately reccomend anyone to go to them for parts. If some of the prices you've got listed are a bit higher than other places, just search around for a cheaper supplier, and then people will be sayin... "$24 for free lovin! tuner toy's offer's that for $10" ;) :-*
