ok its very simple i have a laptop running vista with my work WEP key saved on it.. I.t. at my work sucks money *****, it took them three weeks last time to give me this key and the dude wouldn't even give it to me he just typed it in the laptop himself.(for sequrity reasons lol) . anyway i just got a new laptop and i want to find out this key without bending over backwards for the i.t. dude. I'm old and my knees aren't what they used to be lol Is there anyway to retrieve this key from my vista system? My friend/coworker has a mac book pro with the same key saved on it, is there any way to retrieve it from there if vista says no?

remove hdd from old comp, put in new comp

No you cant, but maybe you can find a "password recovery" software that can read under the ****** in the box. I used software like this, but not in a connection proprieties box. But maybe it can work. And it wasnt on vista

cracking wep is a lil complicated.
