Re: Announcement

I'm suprised I thought you guys were more gullable. :-* The best I ran was a 14.580@99.72 with a 2.23 60' I don't think its too bad since the only thing I did to this car was put on Shocks, struts and a clutch adjuster. Traction definitely wasn't there I would spin even when I launched off of idle like pulling out of a parking spot. :3 Next time I go I'm definitely bringing slicks and running the nitrous with a goal of 12.5. Which I don't think is unreasonable since my goal for yesterday was to run a 15.0 or better :S But I definitely think this is a good baseline, now I can start making the car go fast. :y

I also went down with my old Civic His best of the day was a 14.3@101mph, with around 2.4 60' times. :S If traction was there the car should be running in the high 13's easily. I did get one video but its shitty becuase it was a borrowed camera and nobody knew how to use it. And it was recording the first run of the day when I ran a 15.2@94 and my old Civic ran a 15.7@101. So I don't think its worth posting.

I'm located in Boyertown PA, outside of Philly. Next time I'll give more of a notice so more HMT people can go and we can have a HMT meet. But I definitely want the Mustang to be turbo before that happens ;)

Cecil is definitely way better than Maple grove, I could have got in 30 runs if I wanted to. Also tech is so relaxed, you don't even need to pop your hood. 8) The track isn't prepped that great but its still defiitely worth going to. And now I can never run at Maple Grove since theie new rule is if your tint is too dark that you can't see the driver than you can't run >:( I guess Cecil is now my new home track.

haha I knew you weren't serious. Didn't you say you also had gears in that thing? Decent times for that car even without traction

Yeah the car has the typical intake, H-pipe, flowmasters and 4:10 rear gear but I bought it that way. All of that ---- is probably getting sold becuase it all sucks for FI. The only thing that I personally did to the car was Add Strange 10 way adjustable struts, Eibach springs and A clutch adjuster an quadrant. I just wanted to baseline the car to see where its been compared to what I've done to it. With traction it would definitely do 13's easily, but it didn't. :3

The 4:10's are prefect for the way the car is now. I cross the line in 4th about 3 or 400rpm's from redline. Too bad when I spray it I'll probably run out of gear. I'm going to get some 28inch slicks so hopefully I can get away with it and I'll also run a 75 shot instead of a 100 if I have to.

Re: Announcement

That's actually very impressive to me for a stock Mustang. I ran a Mach 1 or something with the shaker hood that pulled 14.1. Chick was driving. Anyway, I had a girl mapquest Cecil and it's about 4hrs+ for me so I don't know how much I'm up for 500miles on my car in one day. :-\ How far away was Cecil from you? You're saying you could have got 30 runs at Cecil? Where is Maple Grove? Still far out there because I'm near Pittsburgh area. I like Pittsburgh Raceway Park, but I like meeting new people and racing at different places. None the less I think your times in the Mustang are quite respectable. Do you think it's a faster track?

Maple Grove is about a 45 minute drive from me and Cecil is about an hour and a half, around 80 miles. The track isn't prepped nearly as well as Maple Grove but its not that bad. I also think the Grove is better for traction becuase they have more people running which puts down more rubber and more heat into the track. I'll pick Cecil over the Grove anyday.

Within the next month I think we should have a HMT meet at Cecil.
