Default Animated gifs

Do they make anyone elses system slow down?

2.5 ghz dual core OC'd to 3.3 and 4 gig of ram.

IE7

Any recomendations?

google chrome is the only thing i have used that makes them not slow me down too much. i tried firefox and it was great for about a week, then it just kept slowly degrading till it really wouldnt do anything

i came in here hoping there would be info on how to make them. i am pretty good at the mechanics of computers, but when it comes to art type stuff i suck. i need a simple way to just import pre-made images and set the time for how long each one stays up

no ----, my system
amd quad 2.5
3870 x2 1 gig ddr3
4 gigs ram
and mine still gets bogged down sometimes.

i dont get it?

I think it has to do with the gif not being optomized properly.

I'll run anyone's gifs through animation shop and optomize them if they email them to me. Maybe that'll help.

Image quality a bit less, but it seems a hell of a lot faster on my system.

the image size plus the quantety is whats slowing the system down. it happens on many computers...

but not mine. i can have 100 pages of em and not slow down one bit.

my comps good with the gif's, just threads with 500 pictures makes my crap freeze

so what do you guys have going on? you mean like 1 page on its own will slow ---- down? i have a **** old comp and it works fine?
