car companys suck, they're all to the point where they don't need to build anything to last so they just make everything as cheeply as possible.

We should start an HMT car company that makes econoboxes that last 500k miles under normal driving conditions, get 50 mpg, strong enough to drive through an SUV, never rust and have a platform that stays the same for 50 years . Pwn every car company out there.

Yeah, we'll have Steve and Josh build the motors.

We purchased a brand new Honda Element on March 29, 2004. We loved the vehicle so much and it fits our needs in terms of gas consumption and space -- until on June 4, 2004, the vehicle caught on fire. Some people helped us to stop the fire and the fire truck came. AAA towed it to the dealership where we got the vehicle and it was parked in their service Center
caught on fire less than 1 year old.

On April 28,2000,I came out of the mall in Boca Raton, FL to find my car destroyed by a fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be a faulty wiring harness in the 1999 Honda Odyssey that I had parked next to. The fire started in the Honda and ------ to mine, totaling both.

good point improperly installed oil filters ... put on by 16 year old american kids

Updated: 1:09 p.m. CT July 9, 2004

At least 27 Honda CR-V sport-utility vehicles from the 2003 and 2004 model years burst into flames shortly after getting their first oil changes, according to records provided to the federal government by the manufacturer.

While no injuries were reported, many of the vehicles were destroyed, usually with 10,000 miles or fewer on their odometers.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration investigated the situation and concluded July 1 that the cases were the fault of dealerships or others who improperly installed oil filters
