Congratu-fuckig-lations!! No matter what house you buy, as long as its not in a shitty area, will pay off in the long run. It's like monet in the bank!

We close the sale of our house on the 21st of this month. We allready have a house in mind that we want. Its listed for just uner 500k but we can probably get it in the verry low 4s. Foreclosures here keep popping up quicker than pimples on Scottsi's ***.

Actually, you CAN move a house...not trying to be a smartass, but it's true. I understand what you're saying, though.

It always does. Anybody who has the money is buying homes right now to sell when the market goes back up.
maybe out there, in CT its a terrible time to buy a house (unless its a foreclosure). people still think the housing market is at a high and are trying to sell way above whatt he house is realistically worth. me and my friend stopped in front of a house near my neighborhood that he liked. it was supposedly 980 SQ/FT which i think is bullshit unless they count the basement as liveable space. the ------- 2 car garage was almost as big as the house and they wanted 209K for it. granted its just outside my hood which is a really nice/quiet/safe area but still. i guess my opinion could be swayed because i cant afford a house myself so i might think differently if i could afford one.

Looks like we just bought the 980sq house. All the other houses we looked at were either shitholes or in a shithole neighborhood.
$157k at 6.6% FIXED. Original listing price: $184,900.

The funny thing is compared to the house I used to rent, if you factor in taxes, I'll be paying LESS per month to buy this house. ------- crazy. With tax and insurance I will only be paying around $1125/month.

Can't loose, these types of starter homes hold value better and will be quick to appreciate. When i bought in connecticut i went for land 1st and found a nice 11.9 acre lot . Bought a big *** backhoe and did alot of the lot work myself. I even dug a pond. I paid on the land for 5 years then i built the house, 3200 SQ Ft. I have been paying it down and hope to build a attached 4 bay soon.
Best thing you can do is own, screw rent!!!

Mark

I already have visions of a garage in the back. The backyard is plenty big enough for a big *** garage, or a guest house with a garage. I wire alot of those out here and they seem to turn out nice.
