Always keep a spare EEPROM in your car *RANT*

So, I had 2 29c256 EEPROMS in my car. one in the ECU and one in the glove box, just in case. So, my eeprom snaps a leg somehow when i pull it. ----. So I grab my backup eeprom. pop it in, and limp. WTF? so i take a closer look, and the ZIF socket is bent, and when I lock in the EEPROM it SLICES THE ------- LEG OFF OF MY EEPROM. Now, Nobody in my state sells EEPROMS. I've been running in limp mode for about 20 miles to work, and will have to run it like this with AFR's in the ------- 9's until i get my chips in the mail on wednesday. gay.

When im testing a new map out i usually keep the old map in the glovebox for a few days. That way I can evaluate the new map during my daily commutes. if it does something screwy i have the old map to fall back on
