whew, good thing you said that, cause I was getting offended :P

And that is one mighty fine radiator. I wouldn't mind rockin' one of those, but I'm still a little cheap to pay 200 bucks for one, I'll stick to the 92-95 oem.

Looks like a 3 year old welded that thing together. I can do aluminum on our tig at work and I'm not a pro but ----, its way better than that.

I got one of those cheap-o aluminum radiators... except i got mine for 170 shipped...

They are not the best looking things out there... but they do the job... I havent overheated since i installed it.

And i dont have to worry about the shitty plastic end caps leaking...

i jus bought an oem 92+ Auto civic radiator... the core's thicker then the 5spd so it helps on the cooling... keeps the turbo ls nice n cool... only time i over heat is when my fan is off =x

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

I have a stock 95 EX plastic end-tank core and I've never over-heated and I've been boostin all summer. It would be nice to have one of those fancy-shmancy cores but I'm gonna stick with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" on this one.

I have a real fluidyne. because I love my car.

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

if it works then it works! whoever buys it and saves $$ by not buying a fluydine is smart as far as i can recall. it's like people who spend $300. for dc sport headers and $100+ for an aem cold air intake, and this happens everyday.

bambooseven 09-18-2004 06:44 PM

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

I've never owned an aftermarket header before. I went from stock to turbo and never looked back.

I have a fluidyne because I trust it, I don't trust some douche w/ a tig. radiator is a very imoprtant thing, and $100 is worth my peace of mind.

Obviously you dont love it enough or you would have bought a PWR like me :P

The Ebay radiator looks pretty decent, and for 179 bucks thats a great deal. I dont see a problem with it at all.

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

good for you bamboo. headers don't do squat realy, i stil enjoyed my headers though when i had them. those welds don't look that bad. they're just big welds. ghetto d has it and it's worked good for him. if anyone has any doubts on anything they want to buy on ebay just search the sellers feedback for the same item you want and email the buyer. bamboo good job on the fluidyne buy ok.lol not tryin to be negative towards you. some people just don't want to spend more money cause they got other bills.

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

it was like "no-name Rad and eat for a week, or fluidyne and don't eat for a week" and I just figured, I don't need to eat, I have a healthy "reserve tank"

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

For me it was spend 180 for a new Aluminum radiator... or keep taking time off of work to take the old radiator apart and fix it with silicone cause it keeped leeking...

I actually really kinda bought it cause my bro ordered 2 by mistake.. I got both of them for 320 shipped wich is probably what 1 fluidyne costs alone...

bambooseven 09-18-2004 10:04 PM

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

got my fluidyne for $290 picked up

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

well for those of you paying well over 200 bucks for a aluminum radiator thats great! But for us cheap o bastards, i thought this would be a good deal. Yes the Welds look like a blind one handed Taiwanese made them, but still, i think if it works, then it works. Love my car or not i think i rather save a couple bucks when i can. Then again, thats just me.

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

isn't the del sol si radiator like twice as think as the stock one? i thought there was some easy improvement that can be made by switching in a stock radiator from another honda.

rudebwoy 09-23-2004 04:00 AM

Re:Aluminum radiator for $179 look at the craftsman ship!

the automatic radiator is thicker, but I thinks its only because it has an oil cooler on it, so it dont really do much... I tried to buy one of those ebay radiators, but the guy was a lazy hard ass that wont ship APO, because he would have to take it to the post office, even though I offered him to pay whatever it cast to ship USPS.. so I went with the fluidyne for $300+70 shipping, people sucks! military guys get no love from ebay... any way those radiators looks like a stock radiator with jb weld tanks, and spray paint, glad I got the fluidyne.
