dude a k series swap costs more than 6k but for people of your mechanical abilities and your status in the import world you could do it for 12k :1

exactly.. most complete swaps run 7-8k and thats not including the 1k K-PRO you have to buy just to run the swap

JD, I posted a thread on H-T about it, and apparently the "lesser" 160 hp K swaps don't sell for more than a grand. there were a few links posted where people tried to sell engine/trans for $800 and couldnt sell. It wasnt a Type S swap mind you but still a K.

thas why they couldnt sell it. a B16 swap will cost 1/3rd the price of a base K swap and make 10 HP more (SiRII)

k20a3 isnt worth anything and hasport has been selling a mount kit for the k20a2 swap in that thing since 2002.



k20a2 swap street value is 4k+.

well the swap is pricey when done right and for people who want stock motors and a fair amount of power its the car for them.

K series just doesnt do much for me but I guess thats cause im not into all motor so it is a pointless swap for turbo guys.Those motors make some pretty respectable power NA though i have to admit just bolt ons in a EG hatch would be a quick car. :l

Not a huge fan myself but a k20 swap isnt that bad in a light chassis but the cost is well beyond most Honda owners. Its more of a road racing craze all motor thang. Drag racing wise ya the b series for boost will always rule.

nobody in their right mind would pay that for a car w/swap they didn't either do themselves or have done themselves by a shop they know. i tried to sell my crx and no one wants to pay that kind of money for a car that is all done. it is FAR cheaper to start new and do it yourself. hence, the reason i sold my complete setup, engine, turbo setup and all the parts i was collecting. i got close to $6k for just what was under the hood, no one was interested in paying even that much for the complete car so i kept the shell and will be starting the new project from the engine back soon. ;)

ya im trying to sell my car right now for way less than what parts motor chasis etc would run im thinking about parting it out now :P i dont get how an R swap runs more than what im asking for my ride and the car im selling has a motor built that probably puts out more power.

put down around 230 whp all motor with a ecu i/h/e k series rocks, i just wont buy or cant buy one untill they drop in price, which they will in 2-3 years
