that is based on the reserves that the world has. it has nothing to do with whats left in the ground, and they arent figuring in the oil we are pumpming out of the ground right now.

We will never run out of oil. 
the basic laws of economics say as gas starts to become scarce than people will move onto alternate forms of energy becuase oil will be too expensive. Right now its not economically worth it to start burning alternate fuels since oil is still very cheap. People act like one day the wells are just going to run dry without any warning

they have the technology but it would be almost impossible to get rid of every gas power vehicle and replace it. They couldn't mass produce that many vehicles and everyone wouldn't be able to affrod them. I like the temporary solution of hybrids and rasing gas prices. It makes people more aware except for the ignorant that say i make this and this amount of money that it doesn't matter how much gas cost, I can afford it. The fly car i saw that prototype back in middle school like over 10 years ago. I dont know what their plans are, I just plan on keeping up with them.
