alcohol injection and aluminum
 

I just got a new methanol reservoir mounted in my trunk that is made out of aluminum. the person I bought it from said it was stainless steel. he also lied about the method of shipment I waited 2 months for it, he refunded my money after some claims. anyways
will a 50/50 mix of methanol and water cause any issue in an aluminum can? I've read that alcohol cause corrosion in aluminum.
side note should I resend payment?

Aluminum + methyl alcohol + combustion = bad. Running an engine on methanol wears it out quick... s'why I've always been a big fan of the Holley strutted steel piston design.

so using it as a storage/reservior sould not hurt it?

I feel kinda bad, everyone I talked to say ---- him, I waited too long, plus the material is not what he said it was.

Actually, not sure about that bit. My gut feeling is it's not a problem, but I also have a fever and apparently mis-answered your question, so maybe you should pay me no mind, sir. 8)

if you waited 2 months and had to file claims and ---- then ---- him, plus it is not made of what he said it was

chances are ---- got held up by customs or w/e

id never take anything that someone worked hard to get for free..

id just send em payment for the item minus shipping
