so yeah...this morning i figured that i would throw a new piston in my car cuz its really starting to bother me, and i cant stand it being slow and not being able to rape on it...

so i pull it into the garage this morning, do a quick compression test... 180ish-210-200ish-100... little odd that #1 was at 100psi, but the motor was cold and i cranked it a shitload of times... #4 is what really concerns me seems to be a little on the low side (checked it twice)...

so i pull the head, take a quick look at the valves, everyhing looks ok so lets pull a piston starting with #1 (90psi)... PISTON RING OWNAGE!!! not only are the ringlands broken all to ---- the ring is broken! explains why it had less compression than the last time i broke one. (pics later)... so while im in here lets take a look at #4 piston right? everything looks ok...wait i see a crack, then i pull a 120deg chunk of ringland off the piston well this is going well hell lets pull #2 out also... guess what? yeah a crack just like #4 but just one crack that i can see so no chunk of ringland wants to come out...

total ringland/piston ownage = 4

i got a shortblock last time i broke a piston...well they all probably broke the same time, just didnt show the signs... so i have 3 pistons ready to go in... just need a torque wrench yeah forgot about that, but it will be here soon, im gonna finish slapping this together the best i can so it will almost be done when i get a torque wrench later...
