ima midwest boy and i admit i dropped off the page for awhile but the assholes that roam these boards are starting too piss me off. just cause there is a newbie who doesnt want to pilfer through 50000000000 pages of bs here doesnt mean he is stupid nor does it make him ignorant. the ignorant folks here are the vets that waste the time to post back and degrade and down right insult people. i myself have asked some newbie q's and have got some nasty replies like "find some rope". f that some here just dont know and are coming to this awesome forum for some awesome help. ifr we could all be a little bit more objective i think we colud get alot more accomplished. take this post as constructive cititiism. we are a team!

The flaming keeps the dumb asses and the weak off homemade turbo. Its a filtering process, if you cant get that kind of humor, or reply with anything like that of your own, then maybe this isn't the place and you should go to some other forum? Also the tollerance of flaming allows everyone to dispute information and argue about it until a truth is reached, ratehr than agreeing to thwart any kind of conflict that may stem from saying someone is wrong. We brawl it out and the correct, or sadly sometimes, the information that had a better presentation becomes the valid fact. It also keeps the same dumbass questions from being asked over and over.

Exactly. Half these faggots that are like "this site has gotten worse" have contributed absolutely nothing to the site. How many meets do you guys attend, how many turbo kits have you made? How much do you really know, and how much are you willing to share with other HMTer's. I get about 2 IM's a day asking bullshit questions about my old turbo Celica, among other things. Sorry if most of us hate repeating ourselves 100x over.

there has been a massive flood of n00bs in the past year and a half. all with either engine code, or their car's trim level in their username.

i think the constant flaming of n00bs is essential. what would you do if all of the dipshits that opened up a SCC mag, saw HMT get a shout out, and came on here thinking that they were going to save thousands and have a single digit drag civic?

I spent literally months reading, searching, and learning before I attempted to start building my first turbo kit many years ago. Kids these days aren't willing to do the same, that's why people here get pissed off. We weren't handed anything, and so we aren't about to hand anything to you.

I make enemy's on any other website I post. There is a lot I don't know, but I do know about certain things. I don't want to take the time to explain, so I tell them how it is, then if they question me I tell them to die. I tend to get into a lot of arguments, but most of it just BS. People will pick apart what you say and it can go on forever. It's defintely entertaining though and I get to use my MS paint skills sometimes lol.

Example I recently signed up on a car audio forum to brush up since I'm putting a system in my daily driver. I was bored so I decided to check out the "performance section", and what do ya know some dude was getting his HMT kit setup for his d-series motor. That thread has so much bullshit and bad info lol. I just went through and picked a few really bad posts and basically told them to die and that they were completely wrong. That really didn't go over that well lol...
