Does everybody pour oil into their oil filter when changing the oil?

I never have. I put a bit of oil around the rubber gasket, but that's it.

i prime them a little bit ya. and oil on the seal always helps it seal better

well i did and will do it.. any problem 8) besides workshop manual recommends you do it..(i think lol)..

That's all I do too, I was wondering about that lol. I never used to put oil on the rubber gasket but everytime I've done it since I've yet to have a leak :)

A guy I used to work construction would bitch someone out if they didn't fill a filter on an oil change..Ive never done it though.
