AEM FPR diaphragm torn

found out why I kept flooding my motor, turned out my aem fuel pressure regulator quit on me, spraying fuel out the vacuum port. thought about replacing it with a aeromotive a1000 because it had a better rep. but the prices of aeromotive, compared to a replacent aem diaphragm (AVM-2-301) , and since summit have it in stock. I whipped the summit speed card out and order one. $16.39 plus all the additional summit bullshit charges. so I will be running a stock one until the replacent comes in.

you shoulda just run about 60psi to take advantage of that extra fuel :y

I wasted 3/4 tank of gas from this incident, 60 wasn't the pressure, it was running directly off the pump pressure, whatever that is. with the vacuum line disconnected, the fuel that was comming out the vacuum nipple was hitting my windshield the garage is now soaked.

Re: AEM FPR diaphragm torn

I am using the stock one right now, I just realized that the aem fpr has been a problem for a long time now. I usually use a 1/2 tank of gas to drive 50km after putting back on a stock fpr, I drove 50+km at 11 psi hard driving and I only used a 1/4 tank. so that means the aem was wasting fuel a long time, now, also fouled my wideband sensor during that flooding incident, so now it only read for a short time then go extreme rich.

if you are gonna keep running FMU's you should at least get an adjustable one.

guess you never had your wideband on during partial throttle to see the problem
