i really hope you guys are wrong on the whole stolen part!!! I had some cops in my back yard chasing some guy which tried to hide in the cars i have back there. I hope i won't be getting anything in the mail that says i'm going to jail! What other options do i have to get rid of the body other than dumping it?? How can i check if it was stolen... i can find another vin on the car.

we just cut up a teg that was sitting in the yard for a few years. Took it to the metal yard and when they asked for the title we said "no habla ingles" then they told us to take it to the back

great idea about dumping it in the country after rippign all usable parts off of it because it probably is stolen

but i have a question about a title that maybe somebody can answer.
i took out a loan to buy a car about 3 years ago, gave the guy the check from the bank, he siad he had to pay off his loan before he got the title, so i waited, had a lawyer call him and write letters to him after a few months of nothing,i moved across the country, lawyer gave up, a few months ago his wife mailed me the title saying he paid it off and here is the title, went to get it in my name, DMV said the "release of interset" box from the lein holder hasn't been signed so they can't do anything, i call the bank and they tell me that they will not talk to me about somebody elses accoutn even though i just wanted them to write a letter releaseing the car, i call the lady (she is in the military and is probly overseas now), write the bank a letter telling thm the situation and asking for a letter, got into an accident and the other insurance company wants me to call them so they can pay me but they will want to speak with the registered owner so i need it in my name quick, have heard nothing from the bank and they signed for the letter on the 28th of last month.
i kow it is somebody elses thread but does anybody have any advice? i know to get the title before giving money so that is a given but i had never boughten a car from somebody i didnt know before. should i just wait fo rht bank to write or write the again?
