---- ACT clutches

Re:---- ACT clutches
I'm new to the board, so I don't know you well yet, but what's your setup?
In my beater 92 teg, I have basically the same clutch as you, and it has held really well for approximately 75,000 kms. It obviously doesn't grab like it used to, but will still knock the fillings out of your teeth if you shift right. The clutch kit has worked great for me.
Wanna know a shitty clutch? Try Centerforce dual friction, never held since the beginning, and back then I only had like 99hp...

Re:---- ACT clutches
hopefully you were using the XT pressure plate, because the Street Strip one really cant hold the power with the street disc. I'd highly recommend upgrading the pressure plate. Me and several of my friends have had great luck with the XT/SS setup.

Re:---- ACT clutches
I've got an exedy stage 3 6 puck ceramic and the rivets that hold the input shaft disk section to the clutch disk took a ----...all 8 of them snapped clean in half. And since its a manufacturer defect and nothing to do with misuse by me i had to send it back which is major downtime. Sad thing is...i wasn't even gettin' on it. So if u stand by exedy try to explain what happened with my "high performance" clutch

Re:---- ACT clutches
my little brother had a act 6 puck setup and the pedal pressure was soo ------- stiff i couldn't stand it. Ive been running the Clutch specialites clutch and everytime i drive my car i'm just amazed at how well its holding up and the pedal pressure is just a little more than stock.
some of my friends have had good luck with act too though...

Re:---- ACT clutches
i just installed my exedy "stage 1" if that's what you call it... and it's very nice for daily driving. we'll see how it holds up... what happens if you slightly abuse it during the "400-700 mile break in period"? because after 300 miles some friends got cocky and i gave in to a couple of races. if i did any damage would it be long term? or would i have already noticed something?

Does anyone have any experience with CAP clutches? (www.capclutch.com)
I ordered a 4 puck HPS series clutch kit from them a couple days ago, rated 278 ft-lbs.
