Yeah, your reputation is mechanic not police officer Your not raping the guy if you give a fair price for labor and do what you were paid to do, fix his ------- car. Yeah it sucks but what are you supposed to do, sleep in the cars to make sure they're protected?

I have state farm and my system got jacked twice and they covered it. Theey said it had to be a permanent part of the car ie bolted down

Talked to Dad.. $500 deductable, he doesnt seem to upset either. Guess the stereo wasnt worth alot, and there was no amp even in the back. Just a set of cheap subs.

Is this at your shop, or at a place that you work? And... do you have garage insurance? worst case scenario, they could hold you liable, since the vehicle was in your posession when the ---- was jacked. with garage insurance any vehicle in your posession is covered... However it seems like this guy is reasonable and willing to have his own insurance cover it.
