the description is very vague.. doesn't tell me what tranny or exact motor he is running. I can tell that it is definately a SBC and running a pretty basic ignition system (probably a mallory). The setup of the motor probably points to it being a pre '86 style, thinking more about it it's definately a 350 that has only been stroked and not bored.
Damn, I just answered my own question. Oh well, Random come in and finish this thread off please. |

You have no idea about old school hotrodding. Lots of guys take any car they want and throw some domestic power into it. I've seen plenty of chevy Vegas that could spank the ---- out of that car.. this really isn't that impressive to me, I've already picked apart his entire setup. Takes a domestic lover to love or hate the ---- that's going on here.. I'm just really not that impressed. So it's a honda with a sbc... whoop-tee---------doo |

people throw 350's in everything example. my moms boyfreind just bought a chevy 72 van with bored/stroked motor 350 not sure what its bored to. 700r tranny with a shift kit for 1000 dollars. FOR A WORK VAN. i wanna take it to the strip before we load it down with tools. that accords ok but its a -----d out thing to do. people do it to cars all the time. if you came to a strip around here youd see like 10 berettas with 350's in them |

it has a shitty rear end too. ford 9in is one of the best stock rearends you can modifiy. i went to the super chevy show at pacific raceways and 99.9% of the pro-streets were running a ford 9in. ;D |

its cool for street. but id rather go buy the pimp ass strange rear end. if i was going to build a race car it better be quick enough to run super pro so i can possibley make some money back :P atleast 50 bucks if you made it to the 8th round on a 40 dollar entry fee. its like racing for free

alot of chevy guys swap in a ford 9 inch also... its more common than you think. I have also seen more mustangs than anything snap driveline parts at the track... idk what that is about

I've wasted more time on bastardizing motors in certain cars.
And yes, that car doesn't deserve the setup that it has.. but whatever, to each his own. and yes strange gears are nice but a ford 9 is the basic setup that is cheap and effective.. much better then say a chevy 12 bolt. |

that rear end is not shitty. its a shorty race rearend made so you can keep the huge slicks in the fenders. it is not shitty
im pretty sure the drive shaft is the 9in |

I love how those huge ass slicks fit in there, I've seen 2 domestics around here with that effect, ------- awesome. both of them were cruising the streets, gotta love new mexico.

strange does not have there own rear ends they either modify factory rear ends or build there own new copys of them. and a 377 motor is a chevy 400 block with a 350 crank.
