Default ABS Woes

So not too long ago, I decided it would be fun to tighten my lug nuts down until I couldn't turn the tire tool anymore. I was at an autocross, and ended up with one stud that spun in the hub, and 2 lug nuts that were stuck half on/ half off. Anyway, I ended up towing the car home, and had to pull the spindle on the left front, press the baring out and put new studs in and reassemble. Well, somewhere along the way I ended up messing up the ABS. Since the left front was the only side I did work on, I figure it has to be it. So either I messed up the actual wheel speed sensor, which I really dont' have a way to test, or this is the culprit:

Apparently I messed up the graduated ring on the axle, but would this much dammage be enough to keep my ABS light on? It only comes on after I reach 10 mph when I first turn the car on and then stays on the rest of the time. I'm too lazy to jump the ecu to figure out this problem because I don't think it will help reading codes. My guess is get a new axle, and try that out, but im not gonna swap/buy a new axle unless I'm pretty sure thats whats the problem.

I tried takin a file and smoothin out the high spots, and it didnt' help, the light still comes on.

So anyone experienced in ABS ----, cause I dont' know about this stuff too much. Thanks for the help.

what car? If i were you id yank the abs fuse in the fuse box and call it a day. To fix that ring you should replace the axle and you might have to replace the wheel sensor as well

Manual braking>ABS
