Yeah I guess they do have some cheese grade looking stuff on the inside. I just didn't think it slow the flow of air down that much.

the thrush ones from dynomax (www.summitracing.com) work alright, they are truly straight through, but will cut out the high pitch noise from your exhaust, but not really make it any quieter. If you want noise reduction, grab the Moroso Spiral Flow muffler, it's 2.5 inch and only like 12in. long. They claim a 5db reduction, which is huge. AT $50 or so, it's not that bad for that kind of reduction.

semi-muffler shop get a 36inch lenth 3inch inlet and outlet.
